Biodegrable Material
Biodegradable refers to the chemical dissolutions of materials by bacteial or other biological means in a relatively short period of time, becoming part of the soil. This process can occur with and without the presence of oxygen. Biodegradable materials are usually of plants or animals origin.
Biodegradable materials are usually naturally occurring; hence it does not cause much disruption at the end of their life cycle, whereby they will be decomposed. Biodegradable materials does not cause any prolong harm to the environment as compared to materials such as plastic, which will remain in the environment for eternity.
As with all type of materials, regardless of whether it is biodegradable or non-biodegradable, users are always encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle.
