Quality Air
Quality Air refers to the measure of air conditions relative to the requirements of one or more biotic species and or to any human need or purpose. Air quality is determined by various factors such as its chemical constituency such as oxygen and nitrogen, concentration of bacteria, and concentration of particles such as dusts.
There are various causes to air quality degradation. Human actions such as deforestations and forest fire are extremely severe as it causes long term degradation of air quality. Emissions from vehicles, factories as well as the burning of fuels adds on to the concentration of undesired gases such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide, which contributes to acid rain and global warming.
Air quality is not only important outdoor; it is equally important indoor. Indoor air quality, which often suffers from poor exchange of air, can lead to low oxygen level and high micro-organism concentrations. Hence, it is important that a proper ventilation and circulation system is put into place and maintained in order to ensure that the quality of air is sufficiently good for the occupants. Products such as air purifier and ionizers are also helpful in removing undesired particles from the surround air, thus increasing the air quality.
Air quality is extremely important as it affects the inhalant directly. In addition to that, secondary effects such as visibility, temperature and humidity are also affected by air quality. Bad or polluted air can cause various health and environmental problems. Increasing cases of asthma and respiratory related problems are signs that the air quality has actually degraded over the years.
